National Children's Hospital has continually grown, evolved and expanded with the changing times. Although almost 90% of patients are indigent, they have never been deprived of admission despite financial constraints. The delivery of services for indigent patients is done through innovation, sourcing out of funds and sponsorship, collaboration with government and non-government organizations and individuals. PHILIPPINE ORTHOPEDIC CENTER (Public)
The Philippine Orthopedic Center specializes on treating orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and neuromuscular disorders. The clinic is also the country's leading spinal injury referral center. The Orthopedic Center was established in 1945 as the Philippine Civil Affairs Unit No. 1 in Mandaluyong, Rizal, to treat civilian casualties during the liberation of Manila and its environs. LUNG CENTER OF THE PHILIPPINES (Public)
With the help of the Ministry of Health, other government organizations, and the business sector devoted to health, the Center opened on January 23, 1982 as a tertiary hospital. On may say that the Center was the brainchild of a lovely woman and an accomplished surgeon who spent his final years realizing a dream. In his absence, former Minister of Health and renowned thoracic surgeon Dr. Enrique M. Garcia was the Center's first President and Director-designate. The Center's reopening on March 1, 1999, brought joy and pleasure to individuals who relied on it for specialist care. The Center then provides basic services such an emergency room, laboratory, radiography, pharmacy, in-patient and out-patient consultation, ECG, central supply, ultrasound, nursing care, and ambulance service. It features two surgery rooms and an ICU (ICU). The Center now has 210 beds. It is acquiring cutting-edge equipment and facilities. The Center is committed to providing high-quality, low-cost medical treatment to thousands of Filipinos.

Dr. Fe del Mundo, a Harvard-trained Filipina, created it. The theme of the 1979 International Year of the Child was "Mankind owes the child the best it has to provide". On August 10, 1979, President Ferdinand Marcos signed Presidential Decree No. 1631 designating the Philippine Children's Medical Center as the "Lungsod ng Kabataan." Princess Margaret of the United Kingdom attended the hospital's opening on April 29, 1980. The hospital opened on June 23, 1980, under then-Minister of Human Settlements, First Lady Imelda Marcos. The Malacaang Palace issued Memorandum Order No. 2 on January 12, 1987, renaming the hospital.

The Philippine Children's Medical Center is a government-run children's hospital in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The hospital as a government-owned and controlled corporation is attached to the Department of Health. It was a brainchild of Dr. Fe del Mundo, a Harvard-trained Filipina doctor. The establishment of a tertiary hospital dedicated to children was inspired from the commemoration of the International Year of the Child in 1979 which had a theme of "Mankind owes to the child the best it has to give". Then-President Ferdinand Marcos issued Presidential Decree No. 1631 on August 10, 1979 establishing the Philippine Children's Medical Center as the "Lungsod ng Kabataan" (transl. City of Children). The hospital was inaugurated on April 29, 1980, in a ceremony attended by Princess Margaret of the United Kingdom. On June 23, 1980, under then the Minister of Human Settlements, First Lady Imelda Marcos, the hospital became operational. The hospital adopted its current name on January 12, 1987 through Memorandum Order No. 2 issued by the Malacañang Palace.
